America In Realization [11.05.14]

Politics

"The US Senate's new Republican leader and President Barack Obama have both promised to end the political gridlock that has so frustrated American voters.
Incoming Senate leader Mitch McConnell said he would make the ineffective Senate function and pass bills.
Mr Obama said he was "eager to work with the new Congress to make the next two years as productive as possible".
The election campaign was characterised by widespread frustration expressed by voters about the inability of Congress to work together.
To the Americans who voted for change, the president said: "I hear you."

The President and Congress working together, preventing gridlocks and passing bills - is what makes America stronger and go forward.

"For two, three-year council seats, Democratic incumbent Michael Johnson (805) and Democratic newcomer Tahsina Ahmed (789) beat Republicans Jacob G. Faber (487) and Frank M. Menyhart (410).
Tahsina Ahmed
Ahmed is a 22-year-old graduate student at Monmouth University. She is currently working toward her master's degree in social work.
Ahmed also serves on the town's special events committee and on the board of health.
"I feel like young people should be more involved in their communities," she said. "I just want to help give back to my community since they have given me so much."
If elected she plans to help lower the tax burden on residents while maintaining the town's existing amenities.
"I hope to be a resident my whole life," Ahmed added."

"The following NJYD members have taken on leadership roles within YDA:
