I just saw a Monopoly video game disc in my cousin's room. It reminded me that games are “designed” too. People who design games are called Game Designers.
And then there are Designers who design colossal things - like a theme park (e.g., The Disney World).
A lot of work that people do can be categorized as "Design" - some we do not usually notice.
Design is not just aesthetics, not just beautifying things. Wherever human interaction is involved, the process of design can be applied. Designing human interactions with objects, technologies is called Interaction Design.
